Rugbys leading Cyclo Cross rider, 50 yr old Phil Roach has signed for the powerful Team Jewson M.I.Racing Thule squad, which is based in Coventry.
Phil is the current Welsh Veteran Cyclo Cross Champion and in January this year finished 4th in the U.C.I. World Masters Championships at Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A.
Phil’s main targets this season, will be the World Championships, again in America, the British Championships for riders 50+, where he will lead the Jewson team, who are the current National Team Champions, and he will be chasing victory in the National Cyclo Cross series Championships.
Team Director Mick Ives said “I believe Phil will prove he is the No 1 over 50 rider in the U.K., he has amazing bike handling skills, and this season he really is focused on those championships, we have a very strong squad this season to back him, and I have every confidence that he will do really well in his new team colours.watch this space.”
The team have also signed a Top 40+ Veteran along with a World medalist, and former British Champion Lady rider.
