More success for Team Enable – M.I. Racing – McCann
Racing in round 4 of the Leicestershire cyclocross league on the 22nd October, at Misterton Hall near Lutterworth, there were more great performances from two of the teams top cyclocross riders, Kirby Bennett and Philip Roach. In surprisingly dry conditions post storm Babet, Kirby and Philip finished 1st and 2nd respectively in the 60+ age group category. Also in the 60+ category, Alan Parsons finished in 14th place. Racing in the 50+ category, Richard Perham finished in 36th place. In the ladies Race Lindsay Newman finished 16 overall and 3rd in the 50+ age category.
On Saturday 28th six team riders competed in round 3 of the National Cyclocross Trophy event. Held at the Moorways stadium in Derby, Nick Whitley finished 3rd in the Veteran 50+ age category. Darren Atkins battled through to 6th place after starting from the 6th row of the grid. Nick Popham finished 8th after having trouble with a broken shoe half way through the race. Nick Whitley will hold onto 2nd place overall going into round 4 of the trophy event. In the Veteran 60+ age category, Phil Roach finished 5th, Pete Busby 19th and Ray Cochrane 32nd.
