Podium places for Coventry riders at different venues in U.K.

Team Jewson—M.I.Racing—Polypipe—McCann riders representing Coventry’s only Elite Cycle Race Team were in action at 3 different venues in the U.K.at the weekend

On Saturday Josh Jackson a 14yr old member of the ”Mick Ives” Youth Academy squad, finished a brilliant 4th in Round 3 of the National Cyclo Cross series at Irving, Scotland.

Josh rode a very attacking race, being with the leading group from the start, he constantly attacked his rivals, but couldn’t get clear and in the end it came down to a sprint finish with Josh in 4th place but a very impressive performance.

6 time World Masters Champion, Mick Ives, has now taken Josh under his wing and thinks this young rider will be one for the future.

At Misterton Hall , near Lutterworth, Leicestershire, Phil Roach finished 3rd in the 50 + race, following a tough race at Irving the day before, his team mate Kirby Bennett was a close 5th.

In the Ladies race Lindsay Newman did her best ride this season finishing 2nd best Veteran and 8th overall

In the Under 16 race “Mick Ives” Academy rider Jude Chamberlain finished in 2nd place.

Down in Worcestershire, the latest round of the Midland series was fought out at Top Barn  Leisure Centre near Worcester,

Steve Knight finished 2nd in the 50+ race with team mate Peter Busby 4th his best ride of the season and Philip Stokes was 3rd in the 65+ race.

Friday Evening.  will be the Team Dinner and Awards Evening for the Team held at Dunchurch Park Hotel, Dunchurch.

The Teams Recent World Champions and Record Holders will all be attending!
