Team Enable M.I.Racing McCann, were the star turn at the West Midlands Cyclo Cross series Awards Evening in Birmingham at the weekend.
The Cyclo Cross series which began in September 2022 and finished in January 2023, is a true test of fitness and stamina and was contested by 10 members of the team achieving the following results: recent signing Nick Whitley, won a very close battle with team mate Darren Atkins, to take 1st and 2nd place in the 50+ Series, with another recent team addition Nick Popham in 3rd place and the evergreen Steve Knight in 4th place and also winner of the 55+ series. Steve is the current British Masters Cycle Race Cyclo Cross Champion.
Wellesbournes Super Veteran and Senior member of the Team Tim Stowe won the series for riders 65+ and at the other end of the age scale, 14 year old Jefferson Tear from Oversleigh Green near Alcester was runner up in the Under 16 years series having won 4 of the events. Finally Karen Summers won the Ladies Veteran series.
