Time Trial success for Team Enable-MI Racing-Townsend Vehicle Hire
Last weekend saw Time Trial success for Team Enable-MI Racing-Townsend Vehicle Hire. Riding in the Hitchin Nomads/BMCR Jon Tilley Memorial race, the scratch team of Didi Egerton-Warburton, Mark Wise and Andy Jackson rode to second place in the 25 mile, Road Bike, Team Time Trial. Held in windy but sunny conditions on the F14/25 course in Bedfordshire, the trio paced their effort well to take second spot in the CD age category in a time of 1:02:30.
In the local, mid-week TT racing scene, there was more success for Team Enable-MI Racing when Hinkley based rider, Oliver Searle won the Hinckley CRC 10 mile TT. Held on the K41/10 course near Wolvey, in cold and windy conditions, Oliver rode a standard road bike to win in a time of 23:46.
At the Leamington Cycling & Athletics Club 10 mile TT, held on the K4/10G course between Gaydon and Kineton, Warwick based Tom Bradley, riding his first ever time trial, finished in an excellent second place on the night. In very chilly and damp conditions, Tom was the fastest standard road bike on the night. Tom would normally ride cyclocross races during the Autum and Winter. At the same event, Coventry based rider, Andy Jackson, finished third overall on the night and was the second fastest road bike.
On the same evening, in equally challenging weather conditions, that included a hailstorm, Rugby based rider, Greg Ashley, finished in eleventh place in the Rugby Racing Cycling Club event on the K10/10 course in Princethorpe.
