Victory for Stowe

Its been a long time coming this season , but Wellesbourne member of Team Jewson–M.I.Racing–Polypipe–McCann, Tim Stowe finally got his win. Tim was in his element on the tricky course at Baggeridge in the Black Country the latest round of the West Midlands Cyclo Cross series, and now looks to have fully recovered from his recent injuries, with the next target being the U.C..I. World Masters Championships held this year at Ipswich.

Team Mate Peter Busby finished 3rd in the same race.

Darren Atkins had a battle on his hands in the Veteran 50+ race, with Nick Whiteley from Chester, and the result may have been different had Atkins not got tangled with course marking tape when the pair were fighting it out so had to settle for 2nd place – but it was good to see he was back on form following his problems prior to the European Championships in Belgium last week.

Darren will also be focusing on the forthcoming World Championships where he finished 3rd last year. Team Jewson–M.I.Racing have 8 riders entered for the Championships

A bad day for Steve Knight a former winner at Baggeridge with only 7th place.

In the under 16yrs race Jefferson Tear finished 6th and Lady Veteran Karen Summers had an excellent ride to place 2nd.

Entries are now being taken for the British Masters Cycle Racing National Cyclo Cross Championships on Wednesday 28th December on a new course at Napton, South Warkwickshire. Entries via Rider H.Q.

The event is organised by Team Jewson–M.I.Racing–Polypipe–McCann
