“Team Jewson—M.I.Racing—Polypipe—McCann”, star Road Racer, Antony Wallis continued his domination at the Hog Hill race circuit, in the Hoggenberg Classic, race number 7 in the LeCol series. 50 year old Antony has won all 6 of the earlier rounds and added no 7 to his ever increasing list of victories—10 wins out of 10 this season.
Attacking early on in the 50 mile event, with 2 other riders, he won both special lap prizes on the very hilly circuit and did 90% of the work to keep the trio clear of the chasers. In the final sprint for the line, Antony had 5 lengths to spare over the 2nd placed rider and ½ lap up on the main field.—
It is the 8th time Antony has won the Hoggenberg Classic and its special Trophy.
Over in Shropshire, Warwick racer John Stevenson , still searching for his first victory of the season finished 2nd in the Ludlow Brewery Road Race held over 50 miles on a fairly flat circuit.
Beaten last week in the Solihull Race by 100th of a second this time 1 rider broke clear of the field early on and was never caught and John won the sprint for 2nd place.
