Coventry-based Team Enable—M.I.Racing—McCann continued their success story with more Time Trial victories. In the Leamington C and A.C. Open 10-mile race held on the Dunchurch A45 course, Mark Wise was second in the Veteran on Standard section with a time of 21:50. Veteran Didi Egerton-Warburton finished as the 2nd fastest overall in the Ladies’ race with 23 minutes and 54 seconds. Mark and Didi, along with Ben Rooney, who rode in 23:00, were fast enough to win the team prize.
A week later, at the Rugby R.C.C. Open 10-mile race, also held on the Dunchurch A45 course, Simon Law was 1st on Standard with an exceptional time of 20 minutes and 37 seconds. Teammate Mark Wise won the 55-59 section with 21:29, and along with Greg Ashley’s time of 22:37, the three of them were fast enough to win yet another team prize.
In the joint midweek promotion of Coventry C.C. and Leamington C and A.C., the Evening 10-mile event held near Bubbenhall, Andy Jackson was the fastest with a time of 23 minutes and 38 seconds.
