Radford Semele racing cyclist 54 year old Mark Wise, riding for the Team Jewson—M.I.Racing—Polypipe—McCann team, was in fantastic form on Saturday, winning the Veteran section of the V.C. Sevale Open 10 mile Time Trial near Malvern, giving away as much as 14 years to his youngest rivals.
Mark recorded the time of 21 mins 53 mins, which also gave him 6th fastest overall, and just 31 sec behind the senior winner .
This was Marks 2nd race of the 2019 season having won the Veteran section in the classic Banbury Star Hilly TT just 3 weeks earlier.
Last season he was voted most improved rider by the V.T.T.A. Midlands section, and also by his own team—after a tough winter training schedule, he looks to continue in that winning mode.
Again competing in the V.C. Sevale Open 10 mile in the 2up category, Coventry member Jack O’Neill paired with Rugby member Craig McKee, stormed to victory, setting a new Course and event record with a time of 20 mins 39 secs.
3 weeks earlier Jack had won the Classic Banbury Star Hilly event.
Eliot Blundell teamed with a very unfit Simon Bayliss recorded 25-39.
