Team Jewson–M.I.Racing–Polypipe–McCann rider and former British
Champion Kirby Bennett is now back to his best, winning the 60+ Cyclo
Cross which was part of the Central League, at Campbell Park, Milton Keynes at the weekend.
There were 140 starters in the Veteran 50 + race and Kirby finished 7th
overall, after being gridded well down the field at the start half way
through the field but he easily won the 60 + race.
In the same race, team mate Phil Roach the former World and British Masters Champion was riding his first event of the season and finished 18th overall.
Phil Stokes finished 3rd in the 65+ Race and Lindsay Newman now fully recovered from a recent road training accident, rode the ladies event open to Seniors-Juniors and Veterans with record total of 167 starters to finish 34th overall and 6th best Veteran – a brilliant performance!
