For the 3rd week in a row, Team Jewson M.I.Racing Thule have provided the first 3 riders in the Midlands Cyclo Cross series for Veteran riders. On Sunday the event was held at Cannock Chase and the winner was former British Senior and Veteran National Champion Steve Knight. Knight, flew round the technical circuit, beating team mate and winner of the first 2 events Kenilworth’s Darren Atkins, with team mate Phil Blacker in 3rd place for the 3rd week running, needless to say the 3 riders are now dominating the Midland series. Just a small way down was Lorenzo Buratti, in 10 th place and Brian Tear (Stratford) riding his first event of the season in 12th place. John Gabriel, Hinckley member of the team won the over 60 race.

Down in Haverfordwest in S.Wales, Jewson rider Mark James continued to dominate the Welsh Veteran Cyclo Cross series, finishing 1st Veteran and 5th overall .
And at Hillingdon, Pete Smith finished 2nd after being outsprinted by National Champion Mike Bell, in Rd 1 of the Central Cyclo Cross series.
Switching from a very successful Road Racing season, Hinckley’s Mike Twelves, proved that he can also turn out a brilliant Time Trial, when he recorded 22 mins 23 secs in the Coventry Road Club, open 10 mile Time Trial held in very blustery conditions, In 2 weeks time Twelves take part in the LVRC National Time Trial Championships at Napton, sponsored by Jewson and organised by M.I.Racing along with several other members of the Team.
All in all a remarkable weekends racing for the Coventry based Team
