Team Jewson–M.I.Racing–Polypipe”–Coventry’s Elite Cycle Race Team , can now boast , yet another Championship, when Current British Veteran Cyclo Cross Champion –Phil Roach—who lives at Rugby, -won the Welsh Championship on Sunday at Builth Wells.  This is the first time any rider has held both Cyclo Cross Titles!

To make the ride more outstanding, Roach rode and won the West Midlands Championship at Mallory Park on Saturday afternoon, on a Technical and Muddy circuit–but because he was not registered could not claim the title–he led from start to finish and was almost ½ lap ahead of his nearest rival at the finish.

Next weekend Roach will contest the next round of the British National Cyclo Cross series at Peel Park, Bradford- he is currently 2nd in the series.

Phil Blacker finished 3rd in the West Midlands Championship for riders 40+ and still leads the Overall series.  He won the Series last year.

 Team mate Mark James finished 2nd in the Welsh Veteran 40+  Championship, and Jewson’s John Gabriel  ( Nuneaton )–won the West Midlands 65+ Championships. A Mallory Park.
